This week was the beginning of my third year at Uni. We began with the first ever Social Digital Banquet. Social Digital being the all encompassing name of both Product Design and Digital Interaction Design (boo). The brief was to create an artefact that could be used at the banquet and included some sort of food design.

Working in both cross discipline and cross level groups we created a range of flavoured and coloured cubes that could be used to create and alter peoples drinks. The idea being that the curiosity and discovery of the cubes would be used to break down the initial social awkwardness of a meal. Visually the cubes worked extremely well, sadly they made everything taste a tad off. Except the blue/vanilla cubes. They were easily the most popular although I think that may have something to do with the E numbers.
